Haiti

Made it to Haiti safe and sound...hold on someones knocking on my door....ok how sweet, a very nice man that works for love a child just handed me a jug of water!
Today our host for the week met us at the gate and quickly rushed us out to the truck. I'm sure everyone knows what I did first...yep, I got my camera out. But that didn't last! I was asked to put my camera down, roll the window up and lock the door! You would think that I may have thought more about taking my camera out when the first person I noticed outside the airport was a United Nation solider all armed and ready. Ok that was a little fun for me! Ohh no...I need to finish cause the generator is about to be turned off, but I've got to tell ya as I'm typing this all the orphans are down stairs having chapel service, I so wish you could hear what I'm hearing...in French, they're singing "What a friend We Have In Jesus". What a way to end the day!

Big Tire Guy

Big Tire Guy stands on top of a car salvage yard in Largo. When I was little it made me so happy when we would drive past him....ok it still does.

A Cord Of Three

The first thing that came to mind when I saw this photo was the scripture in Ecclesiastes that says a triple-braided cord is not easily broken.

This is not my best photography work ever but this picture has more value then the previous post or the ones to come. This is my much older sister Teresa and old big brother Doug. I’m pretty crazy about them…ok I’m crazier about my niece and nephews but that’s no secret.

Shaddai

This is one of my favorite photos...I took this one on a trip to Colorado. I can hear ya asking why the name shaddai. if you look at the tree trunk it looks like the Hebrew letter shin. The letter stands for the word Shaddai. El Shaddai is translated as "God Almighty" and I've also heard it means "God Of The Mountains"

10/40 Window

The 10/40 window is an area of the world that contains the largest population of non-Christians in the world.

I took this photo on a mission trip to Cambodia. This “was” a high school in Phnom Penh until 1975 when the Khmer Rouge turned it into Security Prison 21 (S-21).
